Are you a novice at heart and do your pricing based on your purchase price?
AHHH, YOU NEED 'HOW TO PRICE ANTIQUES'

Want to step ahead by several years with your Antique Buying and Selling?
AHHH, YOU NEED 'HOW TO PRICE ANTIQUES'

Ever made a 'mistake' that you could have kicked yourself for making?
YEA, YOU NEED 'HOW TO PRICE ANTIQUES'

Odds are, this 109 page price guide will be your
antique pricing bible

Why did we choose an old 1949 publication to Guide Antique Pricing?

A lot of new stuff (1930s - 1970s) has hit the antique market which really has clouded
the antique buyer's and seller's options.
We wanted to find something PURE antique, the really GOOD STUFF.

What about the 1949 pricing?

These prices are genuine prices for its time, absolutly NOTHING new has
happened with antiques that will change its true pricing value, yesterday or today.

We suggest using an appreciation factor of 10 to 20
when converting the 1949 prices to 2007 prices.

EXAMPLE:
#128 Half Round Table - curly maple top cherry triangle three leg base ... $45
Today in any antique shop you can expect to see a price on this table for $450.
This table in great cleaned and polished shape in an upscale shop in an affluent area,
expect to see this table for sale in 2007 at $900

(Novice Antiquers in antique malls throughout America should expect to price
at the lower end of this scale. If you have your own shop and do your own selling
and know your upscale clientele, you may climb the pricing scale.)

We have been an avid antique buyer and reseller since 1970, and have found
vintage publications like this EXTREMELY HELPFUL and often
our basis for pricing.

People have recruited us to appraise antiques. We use our memory, judgement and experience,
but constantly rely on ventage pricing to affirm our pricing structures.
